How to Apply for a Work Permit

  1. Log in to eCitizen

    Access the "Directorate of Immigration Services" portal on eCitizen.

  2. Select Permit Class

    Choose the correct class (e.g., Class D for Employment, Class G for Investors) and fill the application form.

  3. Upload Documents

    Upload all required documents, including employer cover letters, CVs, and tax compliance certificates.

  4. Pay Processing Fee

    Pay the non-refundable processing fee (approx. KES 10,000).

  5. Wait for Approval

    The application goes to a committee. If approved, you will receive a notification to pay the Permit Fee (KES 100k - 500k).
