How to Get a Sworn Affidavit

  1. Report to Police

    Visit the nearest police station or Huduma Centre to report the loss and obtain a Police Abstract.

  2. Visit a Commissioner for Oaths

    Go to a law firm or an Advocate. Provide your ID and the details of the lost document (e.g., Serial Number).

  3. Drafting & Signing

    The lawyer will draft the affidavit. You must sign it in their presence, and they will stamp and sign it.

  4. Use for Replacement

    Attach the original affidavit to your application for replacement (e.g., at Immigration for passports or NTSA for logbooks).
